Requirements

• Educational & professional qualifications
• Advanced degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Professional certifications in Islamic finance (e.g., Certified Islamic Finance Executive - CIFE, or equivalent) are preferred.
• Proven track record of professional development and continuous learning.
• Knowledge of banking and Islamic banking
• In-depth knowledge of Islamic finance principles, including Sharia-compliant banking products, services, and practices.
• Knowledge of the regulatory framework governing Islamic banking
• A strong understanding of risk management principles specific to the banking and financial sector, including Sharia-compliant risk frameworks.
• Knowledge of Financial Management relating to banking including profit and loss (P&L), cost control and revenue generation
• Knowledge of technology and market trends
• Knowledge of the banking industry, including emerging trends, customer behavior and competitive dynamics.
• Understanding of the different customer segments, especially in the regions in which the bank operates.
• Familiarity with the opportunities provided by technology in driving market share growth
